There are many reasons why currently people are migrating from GitHub to other platforms. For example, many have cause for concern about the security or reliability of being hosted in the United States and/or by Microsoft. As for me, I have decided to move my repositories for mixture of above mentioned reasons. After poking around for a bit, I found an article describing how they migrated to Codeberg. I investigated this platform a little bit and found Codeberg to be an open and independent place to host repositories.
